This report has been prepared on the basis of a study conducted on the challenges of working women. It has been reported in the report that only 16 per cent of women in India can achieve the role of Senior Leadership in their career. The report also revealed the discrimination between women and men at the workplace.

the occasion of releasing the report, Harpreet Kaur, director of Genpact Center for Women's Leadership, said that the Indian workforce is more inclined towards men and discrimination with women. Though the workforce is open by women's entry, but the way to get out is also linked together. There are many factors like pregnancy, birth of children, care of the elderly, care of the elderly, lack of family support and workplace environment, which show women the way out and prevent them from playing leading role.

In the report, women of urban area working in corporate, media and development sector were included.
