The popularity of Jimmy Jimmy was witnessed in Moscow when a band formed jointly by Indian Army, Navy and Air Force was specially asked to play tunes of the track.

Music director Bappi Lahiri is known for introducing disco songs to India music industry. The celebrated composer was also recently feted by London's World Book of Records for his memorable track Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja.
You would be wondering what's special about this song? Well, this song has a global approach. Jimmy Jimmy from 1982 film Disco Dancer featured Mithun Chakraborty and has been translated into Russian and Chinese. It has also been a part of the original score of Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess With the Zohan. 
The popularity of this track was witnessed in Moscow when a band formed jointly by Indian Army, Navy and Air Force was specially asked to play Jimmy Jimmy.
